Selkie, a sea tale is a new chamber music work composed by Elliot Cole with words by Misha Penton.

Join Divergence Vocal Theater for a staged concert in celebration of the CD release and music video premiere of Selkie, a sea tale: a love story of fragile, ephemeral half-human, half-seal beings. Elliot Cole composed the haunting musical setting of fairytale poetry by soprano and Divergence Vocal Theater artistic director, Misha Penton. Misha Penton, soprano; Kyle Evans, piano; Patrick Moore, cello; and Shannon Langman Smith, mezzo-soprano; with early modern dance specialists Meg Brooker and Yelena Konetchy of Austin-based Thel Dance Theatre, premiering new choreography to accompany the concert. Performance followed by an artist meet & greet with fancy fizzy libations and sweet treats. CDs and download cards available for purchase at the concert.
